BACKGROUND
Ecovane along with UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative are going to run an international Green Product Forum - from a life cycle perspective in Shanghai, China this year in May 7-8, It is a must-attend event for green business communication, green product education and personal growth and business sustainability development.
The mission of the forum is to communicate life cycle thinking and management of product toward green and sustainability from a global context in China. And to explore the relationship of LCM with contents like eco-design, cleaner production, environmental label, green procurement, cycle economy, resource management, waste management, and product environmental policy.
The current economic downturn is changing China’s economic landscape where there’s a pressing need for the country to transform its economy from being the world’s factory to an innovation economy. Against this backdrop, the need for companies in China to address how they are able to incorporate best practices on sustainability in their business operations, especially in the areas of product innovation and development, is increasingly urgent. Failure to do so will plague China’s rise in embracing this new economy. This conference is timely, as we will address such issues. It is also a platform for speakers and participants can learn and exchange ideas from each other on this topic (click the links below for more information)
